I normaly don't kill spiders or any other bugs that get in to the house.  I
usually catch them and throw them out, or just chase them out if they are
too fast to catch.

Another problem with that spider was that it had mated and would probably
have laid eggs soon.  Now, I knew where that spider was, so I could kind of
keep an eye on it.  If some babies hatched and set up house somewhere, I
wouldn't know where they were.  I forgot to mention my roomie has a 2 year
old niece that comes over once in a while ... all it takes is a second.

Aside from situations like this, I do my best to avoid killing anything.  I
figure they have just as much right to be here as I do.
