Ethical spam. Hmmmmm......

I'll accept legal, but I think a lot of spam, even opt-in, is not ethical.
You've opened a can o' worms with that one and I'm pretty sure you can't
change my mind. I used to work in advertising and was on a first-name basis
with the bulk mail specialist at the post office.

I know you are a big "legal" spam defender, but we'll just have to disagree
as to its ethical value to society.

Just to clarify my position, I have no issue with email delivery of my AOPA
newsletter which also promotes their ancillary services. I do have issues
with a software vendor sending me an email newsletter because I registered
my product and by so doing "opted in". I have even more issue with a
particular software vendor who continues to send me their spam even after I
have clicked the link to remove me from the list. And I take extreme umbrage
to any company that sells or shares my address, electronic or physical.
