I'm with you Erika. The statue is definitely no more disturbing than the
fact that people actually jumped because they didnt want to die in the
fire.

This happened. And I hear people saying "We will Never Forget", but it
looks like a lot of folks want to.

I think people should be allowed their artistic expression. The
sculptor
created what he felt.
It was up to Rockefeller Center to decide whether or not it was an
appropriate piece for display.

Yes, it was a bit disturbing, but no more disturbing than the actual
photos and live footage of the people jumping, yet New Yorkers never
criticized the news coverage that first day (that I know of) .... And
what of all the pictorial displays?

Life is not pretty, people should stop shoving bits of it into the
dark
so they don't have to deal with it.
