We are already in Iraq...the media is not making much of it though they have mentioned it. We have special forces all throughout Northern Iraq, as much has been said already in US media. Same with the offensive bombing of command and control facilities a few weeks ago. Israel decided to announce on Sept 11th that they have finally completed assembling a missile shield of Patriot and Arrow missile installations that should allow them to shoot anything Saddam throws at them down.
Bush is just going through the formalities, counting on the fact that the politics will sort themselves out so he can send in the tanks. On the face of it, this looks like a 2 week war.
