Does anybody ever consider that the constitution was written under a state of passion? You know what that feels like. You do things out of gut feelings and not out of clear thinking. I mean if today was 9/12/01 and we declared war on Iraq, almost 100% of us will go for it. Remember a prominent news source did a survey a few weeks after 9/11 asking Americans if they would like to have non-citizens wear ID badges....and I think 40% or 50% said YES. Kinda like what Nazis did to the Jews...
And I am sure those numbers would have changed by now.
