Just for grins, I ran the quake III benchmarks on my work laptop (IBM tp, 1.6Ghz) and found out that it can do 185fps in high quality @640x480, and 74fps in high quality @1600x1400. And they say laptops can't play games :)
It really puts my desktop system to shame :) Marlon William Wheatley wrote: >I use my dual athy for games > >just go out and buy a GForce4 TI4200 card ;) > >Even nforce2 is not going to have the top of the line gforce TI cards. >SO i will just use onboard video when i get an nforce2 board, when they come >out, for a 2nd monitor. > >Dual Tyan board with gforce ti4200 (you can get a lower model card and it >will still rock but i always have to buy the best :) ) >and 512 of ddr will be the shit ;) > > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "FlashGuy" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Sent: Thursday, November 07, 2002 10:09 AM >Subject: RE: Main/Mother - board Questions > > > > >>What would you guys suggest for a wicked PC for graphics and games? >> >> >>On Thu, 07 Nov 2002 09:03:20 -0600, Kevin Graeme wrote: >> >> >> >>>Sorry about the E.
