Expenses for owning a car that ticked me off:

- car payment
- insurance payment
- gas
- oil changes
- general maintenance (brakes, tires, fluids - huh huh, he said fluids)
- license plates
- license plate stickers
- city tax stickers
- emission tests
- speeding tickets (this was optional)
- parking tickets (this was optional - paid over $2000 in parking tickets in
3 years)
- towing fees (this was optional - paid over $400 in towing fees in 3 years)
- the 'boot' (this was optional -booted at least 3 times - $80 a pop)
- parking ($12 an hour in some cases)
- expressway tolls
- time (traffic)

Not only am I not responsible enough to be able to worry about all that, but
the money is being put towards better outlets (video games and beer). Cars
are lame unless you live in the suburbs. To me suburbs are even more lame
(strip-malls and chain-restaurants depress me for some reason), so I just
don't have a car.

Adam.
