I'm sorry for your wife, but I am sure it's for the best. I got laid off last year from a job that I completely hated. I went three months without work and now have a job that I completely love. Those assholes that fired me have a crappy little company now. I make a little bit less than I did last year but I couldn't have a better situation - I come in at 9ish, have complete reign over my waking hours, the boss is gone 80% of the time AND he's a nice guy, I program all day and nobody talks to me unless I feel like it. She'll get something better, it's definitely a blessing in disguise.
