Magnetic media: disk Optical media: disc So although a worm disc is square, it is spelled with a c. And who can tell me what worm stands (stood?) for? FWIW Jerry Johnson >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 12/18/02 09:41PM >>> I was just labeling some CDs and realized something. I spell the name of the media differently based on its shape. Rectangular objects are disks -- floppy disks, hard disks, zip disks, jaz disks. Round objects are discs -- compact discs, digital video/versatile discs, laser discs, frisbee discs. Anyone else have this (or a similar) quirk? --Ben Doom Programmer & General Lackey Moonbow Software ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 This list and all House of Fusion resources hosted by CFHosting.com.
