The cost of that subscription will continue to rise until they charge the maximum amount the greatest number of people are willing to pay. PS2's model of free online gaming is much superior. Think about it, you pay for your cable modem, you pay for your console, you pay for your game. Why pay Microsoft for the right to play with what you paid for?
