I think you're referring to Ncompass. I used it back when I worked for Bestfoods. Worked well, although the installation at the time (~5 years ago) was a bit of a PITA.

Gangster references aside, there is (or was) a Netscape plug in which allowed you to run Active X controls (meaning VBA). I used it on one project to automate Excel spreadsheets. It was a little buggy - there were instances where borders would not appear, columns would not tabulate, etc. but I was able to find work arounds with a lot of trial and error. Look on Netscape's site, I cannot remember the name for it. Can the latest versions of Netscape parse VB Script?? Or is it still strictly IE only? A client wants (for unknown reasons) to swap out all their javascript for VB Script on their website. Apparently they have hired some .ASP nut that wants to convert absolutely everything to Microsoft. He said quite bluntly that..well..CF was sh** compared to ASP. It's giving us a bit of a hard time ^_^. -Gel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 Your ad could be here.
