By Extended periods of time I was talking 100s of years. And by holding
them militarily I mean holding them in a manner which causes that
country to no longer exist and become part of the US.

Well, the WWE as it is called now, are paid actors, not prisoners forced
to fight against their will, big difference. And considering the country
is only 226 years old, I would say that figuring out slaves were wrong
after about 75 years is a lot better than most countries.

Does the government look to these people for answers? No, my point here
is progress; we have come along way from those times

In the senate you are correct; I was more referring to the kings. And
also did every person have the right to vote? I don't know for sure, but
I don't think they did. Here if you are a citizen over 18, you can vote,
at least this is what the law says. I know there are places where people
have valid claims of voter fraud, and those should be addressed.
