BMW used to have a travel package that included round trip airfare to
Munich. You'd be met at the airport by a BMW rep and they'd take you to
their factory in Munich where you'd pick up you RS1000 bike. They'd take
care of all the paperwork for travelling in Europe and importing the bike
into the US. You'd have up to 6 months to tour Europe. Then BMW would ship
the bike to any port of entry on the East Coast. Sounded like a heck of a
deal at the time.
