Lol, yeah I had like the first or second highest score on the ASFAB test in Dallas the year I took it. Was all set for my 10k signing bonus and the school in Florida after BT. I guess I could have gone on to become Homer Simpson in the private sector after my 6 years of service. How cool would that have been...;)

According to my father (a Navy Master Chief), you missed the other part of that job title. "F'ing nuke" was how I was taught to say it. =) Jerry Johnson <<< [EMAIL PROTECTED] 3/13 2:34p >>> I was omw to being a "nuke" in the Navy. Took all of the tests that got me into the school etc, was about to ship off for BT and last minute thoughts caught me and made me realize that the military life probably wasn't for me. I regret it sometimes I guess. Seeing the world would have been great. But I think times like you see in these movies, full of heroes and excitement don't exist in quite the same way anymore. The things my Dad went through and experienced (good and bad) in the military, are a lot less likely now I think. -chris -----Original Message----- From: Bill Wheatley [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2003 1:30 PM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Good Vietnam Music Yup i'm a military buff too came a fleas hair away from being a squid myself :) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Alvarado" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2003 10:26 AM Subject: RE: Good Vietnam Music Apoclypse Now http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005M98K/qid=1047568810/ sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-0998592-0521739?v=glance&s=music Platoon http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000002IKT/qid=1047568882/ sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-0998592-0521739?v=glance&s=music Full Metal Jacket http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000002LCG/qid=1047568934/ sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-0998592-0521739?v=glance&s=music Vietnam: A Musical Retrospective http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00000DF90/ref=pd_sim_musi c_2/102-0998592-0521739?v=glance&s=music Air America (one of my favorite movies of all time btw) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000002O7G/qid=1047569074/ sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/102-0998592-0521739?v=glance&s=music Yes I am only 24 years old but I have always been really interested in the Vietnam era. I guess a lot of it stems from my Dad always talking about how much fun flying was and how he remembers this and that (he did 2 tours as a pilot) Enjoy! -chris -----Original Message----- From: Bill Wheatley [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2003 8:39 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Good Vietnam Music I need some good stereotypical vietnam music :) When i play Vietcong game i need some good tunes to put me in the mood so i open up the best reference material available the CF-Community :) -- Bill Wheatley Senior Database Developer Macromedia Advanced Coldfusion 5 Developer Ediets.com ICQ - 417645 Aim - Bill Ediets 954-360-9022 x159 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 Signup for the Fusion Authority news alert and keep up with the latest news in ColdFusion and related topics. http://www.fusionauthority.com/signup.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
