The Canadian Navy personnel in the Gulf are fighting the "War on Terrorism", not
participating in the Iraqi conflict.

Or are you saying they are participating in the Iraqi conflict?
Are flights into Iraq taking off from Canadian ships?
Are Canadian forces on the ground in Iraq?

I didn't know that.

As for the Canadians on the ground in Afghanistan (and elsewhere), are you saying that
they are also participating in the "War in Iraq"?
If so, it sounds like you are tying together the Afghan conflict (Taliban, Al-Quaeda)
and the Iraqi regime.
If you have any facts to back this tie up, please send them to President Bush. He has
said they are tied together over and over, but desperately needs some proof!

And those two pilots, they seem competent enough to hit just what they were shooting
at.

I am not saying the Canadians are not doing their part in other conflicts. I am
certainly not questioning their commitment to peacekeeping or their courage.

What I am saying is Canada is sitting this one out. Not even giving verbal support to
the US in this one. No monetary support. No humanitarian support (yet).

As for the sarcasm, I love it!

It it then my what are those ships doing in the Gulf and the Red Sea? Mmy
my my, they must be on a long pleasure cruise, stopping and searching all
those nasty middle eastern ship for tickles and grins. Similarly those
Canadian soldier must just be on a long extended hike in Afghanistan. Just
like those ones that got bombed by those 2 incompetent pilots.

Yessiree all those soldiers, sailors etc just off on a long vacation.

Pardon my sarcasm as a whole but your response merited it.
