I'm more a fan of heat pipe/peltier setups right now. I think they
have more potential for widespread use in the future, outside of
laptops of course. I came pretty close to going peltier with my new
system, but balked at the high power requirements.

Some people are getting pretty creative with the heat pipes, including
the possibility of using the entire case as a heatpipe radiator. The
possibility of a totally fanless cpu cooling solution really makes my
ears happy.
