I've been following this (and using the site almost daily) because it
was a MAJOR site update.
I think they totally changed out technologies to .jsp and added a lot of
new site features.
I can only imagine all the potential pitfalls in doing something like
that. 
Never been involved in a project of that magnitude before.

I'm surprised at the downtime though, and that they didn't run the
systems in parallel.
They surely should have been able to afford to do it?

I wonder if I'm allowed when my own smaller websites go down, to say,"
Pffft! That ain't so bad! It even happened to Best Buy!" :)

Think they'd make a good case study ^_^
