Andre, I like the cog but I think the others might be right that the
type and exclamation point aren't working right now.

Maybe doing something with the top area with the ruled black lines would
be a place to play with? I've used the ruled lines as well, but I
generally put them on a colored background to provide the whole area
with some strength. The problem I see though is that it could overpower
the fine quality of the rest of the page.

Okay, here's a thought. You have an architectural rendering feel, but
the problem is that by it's very nature, an architectural rendering
isn't a finished product. It's a minimal representation of what the
finished product would look like. The idea of a blueprint is good
because it creates that metaphor of information architecture. But I
think what might be lacking is that you are just focusing on the
blueprint instead of the metaphor. Maybe you need to add some context to
build it up. So instead of just showing the lines show the context in
which a rendering would exist. The texture of the paper, the
inconsistency of a penciled line, maybe even the tools themselves. It
might push the metaphor too far, but I think it's a matter of the forest
for the trees. Maybe step back and look at what the context of the style
you've chosen. Just a thought.

To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, I did a design for a site
that was about maps for a WWII-era game. Now the game doesn't use paper
maps, field glasses and such, but to capture the _feel_ of the era and
the maps, I used these objects to represent computer-generated
artificial landscapes. (The site is unfortunately gone now because of
lack of maintenance.)
