I'd seen Chicago on stage, and liked the movie initially enough to pick
up the soundtrack. I listened to it a few times, and while the
orchestrations are really extremely well-done, Richard Gere's voice just
gets more and more grating with each listen. It works well for "We Both
Reached For The Gun" which is something of a farce anyway, but that's
about it - and John Reilly's "Mr. Cellophane" was pretty good (but not
as good as Joel Grey's, IMO).
