ditto..I purposely did not go to the movies when my kids were babies, unless
I got a sitter. I wouldnt even think of bringing a baby to the theatre. I
can't even deal with the assclown behind me who always seems to kick my
chair...

While I can sympathize with you Jim, there have been quite a few times 
where the enjoyment of the movie has been ruined by some screaming and 
crying kid. Moreover this has happened several times during movies that 
were quite inappropriate for children (Matrix Reloaded comes to mind as an 
example). Similarly we've been out to a nice restaurant and again, have had 
the meal ruined by what I can only describe as kids out of control, or 
screaming or crying. It does get very tiresome.

In an ideal situation, the theater (if its a multiplex) would have small 
theater for parents with ankle biters. Otherwise I wish these people would 
take their children out of the theater as soon as the kid starts up.
