So, if a country was being, basically, razed to the ground, with massive
loss of life, but it's a unimportant country, then we stand by and
ignore it? Obviously we can't help everyone, but would you not advocate
helping at all, even if it means minimal loss of life/resources on our
part?

In general, most acts of kindness, not all, would improve how others
view us, but would that be the _only_ thought process you would go
through? You wouldn't think once of helping others outside the country
just to help save lifes?
