I had an old host that had less than stellar uptime but used CPanel.  If
you're running *nix, I think it's terrific - I had an amazing amount of
control over all aspects of my domain, and I assume the quality of the
end-user interface bodes well for the quality of the administrative
functions.

My current MX host has me on a Win2k box (webhostingetc), using
something called HostingAccellerator, which seems to work very well, but
doesn't feel as robust as CPanel.
