No sago in my yard, but the Chihuahuas love to nibble on the peppermint leaves
and pick the cherry tomatoes and eat them.

| Just a note for people with puppies and adult dogs.
|
| If you happen to have a sago plant that is female which produces big bright
| orange seeds they are highly poisonous, fatal if eaten. We have theses palms
| and found out about this the hard way.
|
| We bought our daughter her first puppy, a toy pompo. "too cute" and she
| happened to find a fresh seed that had been smashed open and eat the entire
| fleshy center of the seed. We found her dead the next morning.
|
| Just an alert for those of you that may not know this, we didn't! Now we do.

| Well, we heard from the vet - and it's good news! Scully's platelet
| levels
| are back to normal. So, now we begin the long slow process of weaning
| her
| back off the steroids and hoping that her platelets don't bomb out
| again.
|
| Next test in 3 weeks, if nothing strange happens before that.
|
| Woo hoo!
