Are cats susceptible to this as well? I do have a sago palm, a small one.

Just a note for people with puppies and adult dogs.
If you happen to have a sago plant that is female which produces big
bright
orange seeds they are highly poisonous, fatal if eaten. We have theses
palms
and found out about this the hard way.
We bought our daughter her first puppy, a toy pompo. "too cute" and she
happened to find a fresh seed that had been smashed open and eat the
entire
fleshy center of the seed. We found her dead the next morning.
Just an alert for those of you that may not know this, we didn't! Now we
do.

Well, we heard from the vet - and it's good news! Scully's platelet
levels
are back to normal. So, now we begin the long slow process of weaning
her
back off the steroids and hoping that her platelets don't bomb out
again.
Next test in 3 weeks, if nothing strange happens before that.
Woo hoo!
