Google Ads - pay well?

Those ads by Google seem to be everywhere now (including right here on the houseoffusion site). I've read the pitch and it sounds okay but depends alot on people clicking. Can anyone give me real-world figures on how much you can make with decent traffic? If i have a website that gets a million hits a month, how much will i make off Google ads, assuming people click on occaision?
