when we wanted it there were no cfc's, so as a workaround we made a batch of
datasources then used cfregistry and a DB to switch over odbc datasources,
an email gets sent to us when we are running low of the batch.

we worked with macromedia initially and with jochems code attempted to
create them on the fly, but there was a setting we were unable to discover
that stopped us going down this route, but my guess is that the CFIDE uses
these components internally to create them, so i would give them a try to
see if these can be used

Thanks, Mike, the CFC section seems to offer a potential option, however,
I'm too sure if it's cost-effective one at this point.  How does it your
work-around work, I mean, very involved or reasonably straight-forward etc.?
