It also depends on the person, and their biological make-up

What you have to consider, is that like every other body-part, the
inside of the digestive systems can vary quite a lot - some people will
have bigger, more "receptive" villi, while others can have smaller ones

Add to this the fact that several diseases (hereditary as well as
contracted) can effect the digestive system, sometimes you don't even
know you have the disease, but it's still in effect - Coeliacs disease
is a classic example... The digestive system is "allergic" to gluten
(the protien in certials) and the villi "retract" when they come into
contact with it, making your absorbancy even lower

So, in answer to your origigan question - it "can't" <g>
