Most blacklists add by IP number, not by address, as it is a given that most
addresses in spam messages are spoofed.

You did not post the details of the blocking, but it would be normal to assume
that if the blacklist listed you by IP number, then it is because the source of
the spam is actually being traced back to that IP number.

If you are on a dynamic IP, then it is possible that the user of the IP number
before you is a spammer. and the remedy is to release/renew and obtain a
different IP number.   If you are on a static IP number, then there are other
problems.   If you care to email me off-list, perhaps I can help walk you
