Well now we're walking on a slippery slope. Quantifying someone's "mind-set" is subjective at best. In the end, what matters is the hiring authority's viewpoint on this matter. What's more important to the success of a project or organization - is the success of the project or organization, not everyone going to happy hour in perfect harmony. Its like electing an official to represent US interests at the UN based on their ability to sing "Cum Ba Ya" with the other members. Honestly, who cares? The best candidate is the one with the ability to best accomplish the goals of the organization. Mind-set and organizational fit are determined based on a set of priorities driven by the goals of the organization, a laundry list high-up on which is NOT how everyone gets along. And if it is, I question the long-term viability of that enterprise.
