I'll step in and defend the logic and time that was taken for them to
"be too kind"... you can go into the archives and see (time and time
and time again) where potential applicants have simply hit "Reply" and
sent resumes, rates, portfolios and other personal information, only
to have their reply indexed on a VERY Google friendly site.  Beyond
applicants, I have actually seen past employees respond to postings -
not always in very positive ways.

Michael's policy of having the Reply to for Jobs postings go to the
poster is one that is meant to help people save face.
