Is there a "question of degree" anywhere in that definition? Were someone
to send ten emails a day (or just for an extreme example let's say a
hundred) would they have not exceeded the question of degree where in
something ceases to be pertinent starts to be spam. Michael W. Firth I
would suggest is probably beyond that point (I think he has send 4 in one
day before) plus in addition to being clueless as to what is appropriate
behavior in a "mailing list" community (violates via question of degree
"community standards") -- he promised us the last time -- that it would be
the last time and here he is doing it again -- he seems to place little
value on the value of his own word -- something employers do place great
value upon.

It would appear to be time to be straight forward with Michael W. Firth
since he doesn't seem to get it otherwise -- and say hey, Michael W. Firth
you hurt yourself with your repetitive postings (you piss people off and
they won't help you) -- but beyond a certin point it is spam -- limit
yourself to one posting a month -- a fairly "reasonable" suggestion to
preserve usefulness of the "mailing list community"
