Shouldn't replies to job posts be directly to the sender unless specified
otherwise in the senders' post? Especially in cases like this where the
reply can possibly be considered spam to a large group?

And what exactly are the ethics within getting a private reply (unless I
just missed the list reply from Aodhan) and then replying publicly,
seemingly to make the criticizer look bad? He may not have had the most
tact, but it was a privately emailed request.

I can understand posting the "I have people available". I can understand
posting "I have jobs available". But I do see where Aodhan was coming from
with his private reply about pseudo-consistently making public job offer
replies in this manner.

Just wondering aloud,
George
