Summary: CARFAX, Inc. is seeking a web application developer with experience with RDMBS and SQL in an object-oriented (OOP) programming environment. We practice Agile Software Development Methodologies using Scrum for general project/program management and Extreme Programming using the latest tools and frameworks to develop software in a supportive, paired programming and test driven environment. Development will be Coldfusion and Oracle..with an opportunity to learn Java later this year. Qualifications Required: ⢠Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in Web-based applications development utilizing established software development methodologies (Coldfusion experience is a big plus) ⢠Hands on Relational Database programming experience using SQL, PL/SQL or T-SQL ⢠HTML, DHTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, on any web server ⢠Strong abilities to grasp new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training and interaction with other team members ⢠Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in team atmosphere ⢠Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities Qualifications Desired: ⢠4-Year Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of working experience. ⢠Prefer experience developing object-oriented web-based applications using CFCs and standard frameworks (e.g., ModelGlue, Fusebox, Mach-ii) Familiarity with the following technologies/tools a big plus: ⢠AJAX ⢠JAVA ⢠CFML ⢠Eclipse, Homesite+, or Dreamweaver IDE ⢠CVS, TortoiseCVS, WinCVS, Subversion (SVN) or other related source control software CARFAX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
