Overview: AED is looking for two Jr. ColdFusion Developers (official title = jr. Web Application Developer) to join their IT web development team. Under the direction of the Sr. Web Application Developer, the Jr. Web Application Developer will provide services that support the IT Web Services team in the creation and maintenance of web applications. The Jr. Web Application Developer codes programs using ColdFusion, JavaScript, and SQL Server databases on Windows and Linux/Unix platforms, following application design documents and guidelines architected by other team members.
Experience: ⢠Minimum 2 years experience writing code in SQL, ColdFusion and HTML; be able to show examples of programming work. ⢠Experience working independently with minimum supervision. ⢠Demonstrated experience working in a team environment. ⢠Should have experience identifying and resolving problems Skills: ⢠Must be capable of developing web applications using ColdFusion 8 with a MS-SQL backend. ⢠Must have demonstrated ability in SQL, ColdFusion, and JavaScript.. ⢠Ability to code ColdFusion and HTML via a text editor. ⢠Ability to implement architected web applications using ColdFusion MX and Fusebox, following the software development lifecycle. ⢠Ability to communicate with technical team as well as non-technical clients. ⢠Ability to follow existing file management and application development protocols. ⢠Ability to follow instructions and respond to management and team direction quickly. ⢠Ability to follow the department and organizational processes and meet established goals and deadlines. ⢠Ability to deliver quality work by maintaining accuracy and thoroughness. ⢠Ability to write clearly, accurately and informatively, and to read and interpret written information from others; should be capable of interacting and communicating with clients ⢠Must be capable of performing in a dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to work on multiple projects at any time. ⢠Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a diverse team, as well as independently. ⢠Section 508 experience desired. ⢠jQuery experience a plus.
