Just because people say it is a RDMS doesn't mean it fits the definition of
one. Do your homework and learn what relational database systems
traditionally offer in the way of features. You will find that MySql is
extremely lacking in this arena. Further look at what features a file
system traditionally provides. You will then see that my assertion is
indeed correct. This is not just some opinion I came up with on my own.
This was a design decision by the MySql development team. However, they are
trying to move it closer to the offerings of traditional RDMS, but as of yet
they have not reached the goal.
