A relational database system allows you to store data in mutiple tables
which are related by certain keys, and then retrieve data from them in a
single request. MySQL fits this definition perfectly.

What features other types of database systems may offer has no bearing on
whether or not MySQL can correctly be called an RDMS.

As you can see, MySQL does in fact clearly fit the definition of a
relational database management system.

Sidenote:
It's one thing for you to come out with a statement that may mislead other
subscribers, and then for me to correct the statement so people are able to
see that there are two sides to the story.

It's another thing for you to reply yet again with more incorrect statements
which are clearly driven by an unfounded personal attitude toward a
particular product.

Please leave it off this list which is for cold fusion on linux, not for
getting people to get the wrong idea about MySQL.
