Without getting into a "which platform is better" discussion, we have
several clients serving more customers/page views per day on similar
hardware configs using Windows. The OS is largely irrelevant to CF
performance, unless you use Solaris.

That said, I think Linux is a more sensible choice for CF in many cases.
