If you can run Apache on UNIX or Linux that would be preferable. But Apache
on NT or 2000 is very good and very very stable. The warnings that Apache
issues are really the opinion that NT itself is not a good server platform
for various reasons. That aside, I have found that Apache on NT and 2000
works extremely well, is very stable, and is much easier to admin than IIs.
If you don't need the FP extensions or ASP then Apache along with ColdFusion
is a great combination on NT or 2000.
