Could you use DHCP? If so then you would configure your TCP/IP stack in the
Network Control panel to "automatically obtain an IP address". Then on each
server you would configure the various settings in the DHCP manager software
so that your laptop would grab the correct parameters whenever it logged on
to the network.

I can't think why this wouldn't work for you, so long as DHCP is an option?

I know this is off topic but maybe someone can point me in the
right direction.

I have a network setup at home and a network setup at the office.
Both have different host computers and configurations that I
continuously have to change when I start my laptop at each
location. Is there a 2nd party software available or is there a
better way to change these settings without having to go manually
do this everytime I change networks?

thanks in advance,
kaigler
