I am hoping someone out there can help me. We are running cf 4.5.1 sp2 on solaris box
with apache connecting to an oracle 8i
database. We have the 8i client installed on the server and have the admin setup to
allow 12 simultaneous requests. The cf server
is continuosly going down though and needing to be restarted.

Here are two of the errors we are seeing alot

20 Oracle Error Code = 24334<P>ORA-24334: no descriptor for this position <P> <P> SQL
= "SELECT CDE_COMPETITION_TYPE
FROM AKC.T_CDE_COMP_TYPE_WEB WHERE CDE_COMPETITION_TYPE ='AB'" "

15 Oracle Error Code = 0<P>Timeout while obtaining an Oracle connection lock<P><P>
<P>SQL = "akc.pkg_bvg.pr_reg_bvgs"<P>Data
Source = "ecom"<P><p>The error occurred while processing an element with a general
identifier of (CFSTOREDPROC), occupying
document position (2:1) to (4:20).</p><P><P>

The query in question above usually runs in 4-5 ms returning a single record the other
error occurs in lots of different areas and
doesn't seem to be specific to any procedure. All this seemed fine on 7.3.4 but is not
working while all this is going on some
static .cfm pages are returning in 300-700 seconds.... totaly unacceptable
performance, any i
