Folks,

I figure that since Macromedia seem to be in the process of releasing 5.0,
that talking about it here is not too off-topic.

Has anyone gotten Spectra running on Solaris with ColdFusion-5.0 installed?
I'm only able to get my hands on the rc1 package presently, not the full
released version, since they don't have a trial Slowlaris version available
presently.

Anyway, no matter how I cross my fingers, I'm never able to install ColdFusion
in such a way that advanced security actually works. The installer tells me:

        Configuring Advanced Security Services...
                Starting Wind/U deamon...
        windu_registry /opt/coldfusion/siteminder/windu/.windu.iww1 started
                Setting siteminder home
                Setting encryption key
                Setting oem key
Registering LDAP settings in Netegrity Wind/U registry
                Testing connection to LDAP server
                        connection successful
Switching SiteMinder to use the LDAP server as policy store
                        Setting the SiteMinder admin password
        Configuring Advanced Security Services Succeeded

but it lies, because when I try to access the advanced security setup page in
ColdFusion administrator, I get:

        Error Occurred While Processing Request

         Error Diagnostic Information

         Security Policy Administration

         Security Policy action failed.

If you're running any version of Spectra with ColdFusion-5.0 on solaris, could you
please just send me a quick note to say so? If you managed to work around the problem,
I'd love to know how you did it of course ;-)

I've tried this with iPlanet LDAP server 4.12, and 5.0, seems to make no difference.
The policy store seems to get created, and siteminder itself does not complain, but I
can't seem to get ColdFusion administrator to function! :-(
