It is broke... Can't do any development work in realistic deadlines
because it's such a mess...  The ultimate in over-developed-over-patched
unhappiness...

Smashing!  Just what you need.  Doesn't do FB's reputation any good
either (not that I approve of FB3 at all anyway). I'm still stuck on an
extended version of FB2, because until recently most of my clients were
still on CF5 - they are just starting to move cfmx6.1, so I might have
to think about a cfc approach at for the next rebuild or new
application.

Meh.  If it aint broke, don't fix it.  Wait until you get a request for
a major overhaul on the site from the client before you consider a
rewrite.
