I've been able to do this on Windows, using IIS to serve the cluster and using the JRun web server to address each separate instance. To do this, I configured each as a standalone instance using the Jrun web server, then created the cluster, then configured IIS to address the cluster. As far as I can tell, you can't configure individual instances to listen to a web server once you've added them to a cluster.
