Hi
I am setting up a new server and have a few options I would like
advice on how to partition the services..
I have one medium sized website and a few really small websites-
about 65,000 page views a day total. there is not much heavy
database use. the old server was at 2% cpu utilization most of the
time and this is a faster one. Not too much video use
either. Usually no more than 2-3 concurrent people viewing videos.

The server has 2 sets of mirrored drives. C: is 500 gb and D: is 1000 gb

I need web server, coldfusion version 8, ms sql server, dns, and
video streaming (helix server) and where to place the log files and
database files

I have a choice of windows Small business server premium 2008, which
also has available either windows server 2008 standard 32 or 64 bit..
(the server has 8 gb ram)
or I can stay with windows 2003 advanced server which I currently use.

Questions:
1. Which version of windows? I am thinking Server 2008 standard 64 bit..
2. Where to put stuff: I am thinking
c: operating system , DNS, SQL program files, website log files,
video files, helix server
d: CF8, websites, sql data files.

bonus question: how bad would it be to add an outgoing mail server
on the same box? I need one that supports DKIM signing- any
suggestions? I use smartermail now but am not sure it supports 64 bit
windows? Which drive would you put it on?

thanks
