The downside is that each of these instances will have a certain
amount of duplicated effort, as each one has to load CF into memory,
etc. But if you have the memory to spare, it doesn't really matter.

This will vary based on the version of CF and OS that you're using. On
a 32-bit Windows system, CF takes about 50 MB on startup generally.
