And just to expand a little. If you don't do this, you'll continuously get a file not found error. This could drive you to the wrong conclusion and was actually how I quickly realized my setup was incorrect. I found very little on distributed mode, but this article, http://www.adobe.com/support/coldfusion/administration/cfmx_in_distributed_mode/cfmx_in_distributed_mode02.html, is what gave me the information to confirm what I thought as the last paragraph of the article explains what to do for files. It's for CFMX but it is still applicable even today under 8 or 9. You also need to make sure the directory in question has the correct permissions to be read/executed by the CF server's user,
