Trying to post a screencap but I'm not sure how on here, let me try to recreate
what I'm seeing in the Network tab on FF's Dev Tools:

LEGEND: O = Circle A = Triangle D=Diamond (error symbol, I'm assuming?)
       METHOD      |    FILE     |    SIZE    |    0ms ------->1.36min.

O (Green ) 200 GET | index.cfm | 2.66KB | 16ms
A (Orange) 302 GET | logout.cfm | 0KB | 0ms
D (Purple) 500 GET | index.cfm | 10.51KB | 141ms
O (Green ) 200 GET | login.cfm | 2.50KB | 0ms
O (Green ) 200 GET | next.gif | .19KB | 31ms
D (Purple) 500 GET | index.cfm | 10.63KB | 125ms
O (Green ) 200 GET | login.cfm | 2.50KB | 16ms
O (Green ) 200 POST|loginproc.cfm| .4KB | 16ms
O (Green ) 200 GET | index.cfm | 2.66KB | 15ms

Then, at the bottom, a speedometer-icon followed by the verbiage:
"9 requests, 32.08KB, 95.87s"

Thank you for the headsup on the Network tab, Dave, I had only used Inspector
and Style Editor, was completely unaware (I don't use dev tools very often) of
it.

I'm guessing it's throwing the error because the 500 errors are on the largest
requests (10KB+) but I'll defer to you on that, I'm assuming you must use this
pretty often...I can post my index page code if need be but, in all fairness,
it should not be calling that page at all, unless I'm missing something.
Application nor logout.cfm call index at all. The user is taken (very briefly)
to logout.cfm and then from there cflocated to login.cfm when logging out
(first 500 error above), and then when logging in, from the Hub page they're
sent to login.cfm, loginproc.cfm (form handler) and finally index.cfm only if
their credentials match (cfquery.recordcount EQ 1).

Well, that's enough speculation on my part, I'm looking forward to hearing what
you make out of the readout above. Thank you, Dave!
