Coldfusion is hacky. That's the way they designed it. The other alternative is to make adjustments in the administrator maybe? I'm using fusebox 4 with CF11 with little issues popping up, vars being undefined or non-initialized, ...then initialized....
Probably some adjustment or addition you can make in other files too. -----Original Message----- From: B Griffith [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, November 14, 2014 10:46 AM To: cf-server Subject: Re: 500 Error FLASHES for a split second when logging in/out of CF app Quick update, That got me digging, and in the Status Code section of the Network tab on the two diamond/500 items, it says session.xyzvar is undefined. This is due to the logout.cfm page clearing all session vars upon logout. But still doesn't explain why index.cfm is even called in the first place here! Regardless, I wrapped the index.cfm page's code in its entirety in... <cfif IsDefined('session.xyzvar')> <original index.cfm code> <cfelse> <cflocation url="login.cfm" addtoken="no"> </cfif> ...but this seems kinda "hacky." If that's the only viable fix, then I'm okay w/ that but would prefer a solid, long-term fix rather than a band-aid. Still would like to hear your thoughts on these peculiarities, Dave, or any others who might offer some insight.
