If you're going to be supporting the JSP equivalents, why add the new tags? The concern I was referring to was that the core language may develop down different paths. This, for example, could lead to new developers writing code on BlueDragon will learn to use the tags and will be somewhat stymied when/if they ever have to move to a Macromedia product.
Again, I applaud the idea behind the tags, and I hope that MM introduces them, at some point, into their app server. I also applaud the idea behind a product like BD. It's just that, having had to suffer through the browser wars and having to learn and write code that's not cross-platform, I'm a bit apprehensive about the introduction of vendor-specific tags to CFML. Eh... but what do I know? I'm kind of apprehensive about mixing JSP and CFML in the same file too (I hate having to slog through sloppy code, and this just seems to be asking for it). Anyway, just my $0.02. -- Mosh Teitelbaum evoch, LLC Tel: (301) 625-9191 Fax: (301) 933-3651 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] WWW: http://www.evoch.com/ > -----Original Message----- > From: Vince Bonfanti [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Monday, October 14, 2002 5:05 PM > To: CF-Talk > Subject: RE: BlueDragon (was RE: How is CFMX J2EE implemented?) > > > Yep, understood.
