It returns a CF structure, you won't find a parser that will edit a packet I don't think, it's easy enough to recreate it anyway.

Try cf_XMLParser from http://www.cfdev.com It's a java cfx and uses the xerces xml parser. In my tests (under heavy load), it's 10-20 times faster than the MS XML parser, it's also ROCK stable.
